Prosecutor's Office Receives Application from Former Head of March 1 Investigation Group Vahagn Harutyunyan's Defender
The Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia has received an application from the defender of Vahagn Harutyunyan, the former head of the March 1 investigation group, regarding the lifting of the arrest warrant issued against him. This was reported to Armenpress by the public relations department of the Prosecutor General's Office.
The defender of Vahagn Harutyunyan has approached the Prosecutor General and the head of the Special Investigation Service, suggesting that the arrest warrant declared against Harutyunyan be revoked.
Vahagn Harutyunyan is involved as a defendant under Article 38-349, Part 3, Item 1 of the Criminal Code of Armenia (forging evidence concerning serious or particularly serious crimes), Article 308, Part 2 (abuse of official power resulting in serious consequences), and Article 309, Part 2 (abuse of official authority accompanied by violence, weapon use, or special means).
