The First Electric Vehicle Charging Station Opens in Tavush
On November 23, the first electric vehicle charging station was officially opened near the "Ijavanatun" restaurant in Ijavan, according to the Tavush regional administration. As reported by News.am, at the opening ceremony, Tavush Governor Hayk Chobanyan stated:
"This is an opportunity to enrich ourselves more, to stand on our own feet more firmly, to transition from a consumer approach to a productive one. I thank all the initiators, especially the Armenian community of Ukraine, and congratulate them on their entry into our lives, into the economic and cultural life of our region."
Months ago, Governor Hayk Chobanyan had a meeting with representatives of the Armenian community in Ukraine. During the meeting, the community representatives presented the "Ecocars" electric transport development program, which will be implemented in Armenia, starting from the Tavush region.
