Video: Kadyrov's Relative Apologizes for Torturing People with Electric Shocks

Islam Kadyrov, the former mayor of Grozny and a relative of Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov, has apologized following the release of a video showing him torturing individuals with electric shocks while still in office.

“I have been anesthetized 29 times. I was told that I should undergo treatment and rehabilitation, but I thought I was doing the right thing, helping people. Today I understand that this is wrong. Such behavior brings dishonor to Kadyrov’s team and to no one,” said Islam Kadyrov. He also denied being dismissed from his position for involvement in a conspiracy against Kadyrov.

In the video released by the 'Grozny' television channel, Islam Kadyrov is seen using an electric shock device on a woman, threatening to clean accounts and make false accusations. According to the television channel, Kadyrov wanted to elicit a confession from those suspected of fraud. Additionally, during a campaign against tax evaders, Kadyrov's bodyguards broke the arms of a man who dared to respond to the mayor's rudeness.
