Traces of Illegal Logging Found: 63 Trees Cut Down
On October 11, around 1 PM, the Gugark Police Department received a report from the "HayanTar" forest enterprise about illegal logging. During a forest inspection on October 3, 63 trees of various species and sizes were discovered cut down.
Utilizing the received operative data, the police detained a 50-year-old resident of Yeghenuyt village on the same day at 3:10 PM. He provided an explanation stating that in September, he had cut down the aforementioned trees using a chainsaw from an area known as "Mkoy's Thala" adjacent to Yeghenuyt village and transported them to his yard.
A professional examination has been appointed, and the extent of damage to the state is being assessed. Materials are being prepared.
