What Testimony Did Major General Samvel Karapetyan (Oganovsky) Give in the March 1 Case?
On August 7, the Russian service of BBC published a detailed article addressing the events of March 1, 2008, calling them "one of the most tragic events in Armenia's modern history." The BBC journalist, based on exclusive investigative documents at their disposal, claims that the shots fired towards the protesters were executed under the leadership of Major General Samvel Karapetyan (Oganovsky). However, in response to the publication, Samvel Karapetyan stated that such an incident did not occur.
