Tensions at Armenian Borders: Deputy Minister's Commentary
According to Deputy Minister of Defense Gabriel Balayan, tensions have been observed at the Armenian borders in recent days. He stated that our armed forces have provided a commensurate response to the actions of the adversary.
Since a criminal case has been initiated, the deputy minister refrained from discussing details during a conversation with reporters. When asked about the reasons behind the tension, he responded:
“In a certain sense, we have announced that both sides are currently engaging in engineering works with considerable intensity. In other words, we are strengthening our positions while the adversary is attempting to reinforce theirs, and we are thwarting any attempts at advancement. To a certain extent, the tension arises precisely for this reason. That is, we are conducting our operations in such a way that the adversary cannot gain a positional advantage.”
