Public Officials' Salaries Will Not Increase: Vahagn Tevosyan
Public officials' salaries will not be increasing. This was stated by Vahagn Tevosyan, a member of the National Assembly from the ‘My Step’ faction, on his Facebook page.
“There is a concern that people might confuse the minimum wage with the base salary. The latter is the basis for calculating the salaries of public officials as well. By law, the base salary should be no less than 80% and no more than 120% of the minimum wage. Currently, the ratio between the minimum wage and the base salary is within legal limits, and as such, it will remain unchanged, meaning public officials' salaries WILL NOT INCREASE,
