Trial of Sedrak Kocharyan Against Arthur Vanetsyan Held
The general jurisdiction court of Yerevan has concluded another hearing in the case of Sedrak Kocharyan against Arthur Vanetsyan.
It should be noted that Sedrak Kocharyan, the son of the second President of the Republic of Armenia Robert Kocharyan, demands that the Director of the National Security Service, Arthur Vanetsyan, publicly refute the statements he made, which are deemed defamatory.
This matter pertains to a statement made during a well-known press conference by Vanetsyan and the Chief of the Special Investigative Service, Sasun Khachatryan, in which it was claimed that “Robert Kocharyan became a shareholder of the ‘Congress’ hotel by demanding a bribe of 6 million dollars.” According to the plaintiff, the statements made by the NSS Director Arthur Vanetsyan regarding the Kocharyan family are not true and tarnish Sedrak Kocharyan's honor and dignity.
