The Date of the Court Hearing for Manvel Grigoryan and Nazik Amiryan is Known
The first court hearing for former president of the Yerkrapah Volunteer Union, former MP, General Manvel Grigoryan, and his wife, Nazik Amiryan, has been scheduled for May 2 at 12:00 PM. This information was provided to NEWS.am by the judicial information system.
It is worth noting that the case will be examined by Judge Mnatsakan Martirosyan of the general jurisdiction court of Yerevan. He is well-known to the public from the 'Seven's case' and the trials of Shant Harutyunyan and others, among other high-profile cases.
According to the indictment, Manvel Grigoryan illegally acquired, transported, and stored weapons, military ammunition, cartridges for rifled firearms, and explosives in three homes belonging to him, together with his wife Nazik Amiryan, son Arman Grigoryan, and other individuals not yet identified in the investigation, in violation of the restrictions stipulated by the RA Law on Weapons.
He is accused of embezzling property allocated for the needs of soldiers and volunteers defending the borders of the Republic of Artsakh during the April 2016 war and the following days.
According to the charges, Nazik Amiryan, in collusion with her husband Manvel Grigoryan, son Arman Grigoryan, and other unidentified individuals, illegally acquired, transported, and stored weapons, military ammunition, cartridges for rifled firearms, and explosives in their three homes, as well as committed various types of theft.
Manvel Grigoryan has been taken into custody as a measure of restraint, while Amiryan has been subjected to a signature not to leave.
