David Sanasaryan Sues the High-Ranking Officials Ethics Committee
The head of the State Oversight Service of Armenia, David Sanasaryan, has filed a lawsuit against the High-Ranking Officials Ethics Committee in the administrative court. According to Factinfo, he demands that the committee's conclusion dated March 18, 2019, be declared null and void, which states that he violated an ethical rule enshrined in clause 3 of part 3 of article 28 of the Law on Public Service.
It should be noted that based on a complaint from Yerevan State University rector Aram Simonyan, the committee initiated proceedings and concluded that David Sanasaryan, as the head of the State Oversight Service, had violated the ethical regulations established by the Law on Public Service, specifically that his actions did not contribute to the formation of trust and respect towards his position and the body he represents.
David Sanasaryan has stated that he does not accept the accusations attributed to him by the committee, indicating that he will dispute the conclusion through judicial means. Furthermore, according to him, the High-Ranking Officials Ethics Committee should not have accepted Aram Simonyan's complaint for consideration.
The lawsuit was submitted to the court on April 17.
It is also worth noting that he is accused of abusing his official powers in a criminal case being investigated by the NSS.
