Mamedyarov Reveals Discussions with Mnatsakanyan and Lavrov
“Overall, the negotiations were quite extensive,” said the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mamedyarov. This was reported by minval.az, citing an interview given to the «Онлайн» agency, summarizing the results of the meeting held in Moscow regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Mamedyarov stated, “First of all, Sergey Lavrov, myself, and Zohrab Mnatsakanyan had a three-way meeting. The meeting was effective. We clearly discussed the issues that still hindered progress. I cannot say that it was complete progress. But overall, the Armenian side and I managed to understand several points of the issue as comprehensively and deeply as possible.”
“We conducted discussions based on the plan proposed by the Russian side in 2016. Of course, during this meeting, we could not resolve all the issues. The purpose of today’s meeting was for us to gain a deeper understanding of what the problems are and what needs to be resolved,” he added.
