Roads Closed in Armenia: Emergency Service Report
The Emergency Service of Armenia reports that there are closed roads within the territory of the Republic of Armenia.
The roads leading from the “Amberd” high-altitude meteorological station in the Aragatsotn region to Amberd Fortress and Kar lake are closed. The Vardenyats Pass is closed only for vehicles with trailers.
There is black ice in various stretches of roads in the regions of Aparan, Aragats, Spitak, Tumanyan, Tashir, Sevan, Jambarak, Martuni, Gavarr, Abovyan, Hrazdan, Nairi, Vayk, Sisian, Goris, Ashotsk, Amasia, and Vanadzor.
Drivers are urged to travel exclusively with winter tires.
Regarding Lars, according to information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Management Department and the Crisis Management Center of the North Ossetia Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.
