Couple Commits Major Theft Using Violence, Investigators Report

The Investigative Committee of Armenia has reported that significant and urgent investigative actions have established the circumstances surrounding a theft committed by a couple through the use of violence.

Specifically, on May 18, 2025, the couple visited the residence of an acquaintance and deceitfully entered the apartment. During this time, E.N. grabbed M.A. by the neck and demanded silence, while simultaneously allowing his wife, A.H., to enter the premises.

Subsequently, the couple coordinated their actions to apply violence against M.A. and demanded 280,000 AMD; however, after being refused, they seized the car keys belonging to the victim, which was valued at 2 million AMD, and fled the scene.

A public criminal prosecution has been initiated against the couple under Part 3, Point 2 of Article 252 of the Criminal Code (robbery committed by illegal entry into a dwelling). The criminal proceedings have been sent to the supervising prosecutor with an indictment conclusion.
