Russia is a powerful military power, whether people like it or not: Trump
Donald Trump has stated that France, Germany, and the United Kingdom wish to deploy troops in Ukraine. Trump made further statements about conflict resolution, saying that 'if concessions are to be made for Kyiv, Zelensky must show flexibility, and Ukraine should not be part of NATO.'
He added, 'Russia is a powerful military power, whether people like it or not.'
During Trump's presidency, there will be no American troops in Ukraine, and I am not planning to participate in any potential first meeting between Putin and Zelensky to take place in a bilateral format,' Trump further noted.
The day before, Trump held talks with Vladimir Zelensky at the White House. Following the bilateral meeting, several European leaders joined them. The parties discussed security guarantees for Kyiv that European countries intend to provide in coordination with the United States.
