Palestinians Return to Northern Gaza
Palestinians have begun returning to the northern part of the Gaza Strip following an agreement between Israel and the Hamas group, which included the reopening of crossing points.
Israel has permitted thousands of Palestinians to return to their homes in exchange for Hamas's promise to release an Israeli woman held hostage. A large-scale evacuation occurred during the early days of the conflict.
“It feels amazing to come back home, to be close to your family, relatives, and loved ones, and to see your house, if it’s still a home,” recounted one resident who has returned to Gaza.
Residents reported that the news was greeted with joy in refugee camps.
