Transportation Costs for Families of Deceased or Missing Persons to Be Waived
The "Public Voice" faction of the Yerevan City Council proposes to waive transportation fees for family members of individuals who died, went missing, or were declared dead during combat operations in Artsakh or as part of the Armenian Armed Forces’ duty.
Under this proposal, families can travel on intra-community and regular bus routes for free as a minimal support measure provided by the community. The initiative was presented at the council meeting by Vahe Essayan, the secretary of the "Public Voice" faction. The proposal was approved, with 54 council members voting in favor and 1 abstaining.
It is worth noting that this project benefits 13,500 individuals, all of whom are registered in Yerevan.
