‘We have our own issues that need to be resolved’: Australian senator calls for no aid to Ukraine
Australia should distance itself from Ukraine. This was stated by Australian senator Babet. She urged the government not to provide financial assistance to Kyiv and to stay away from Ukraine.
“We need to step back. We have our own issues that need to be resolved, and we should not push the Russians closer to the Chinese,” said the senator.
It is worth noting that Australia has been actively supporting Ukraine by sending military equipment and training Ukrainian soldiers in the UK. A new military aid package worth $74 million is expected to be announced soon.
