Shoigu Discusses Grain Deal with Turkish Foreign Minister
Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu has held talks in Moscow with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, during which the parties discussed the grain deal and joint efforts in Syria. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
“During the meeting in Moscow with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu discussed the grain deal and joint work in Syria. The head of the Russian military department congratulated the Turkish Foreign Minister on his appointment to the new position and noted that during his tenure, much necessary and useful work has been done in the last two countries for both Russia and Turkey, as well as for the whole world,” the ministry stated.
The Minister of Defense also emphasized that Russia intends to continue its strategic bilateral partnership with Turkey to address issues in Syria.
