Edmon Marukyan's Statement on the Situation at the Border

The recent attack by Azerbaijan on Armenia's sovereign territory, which is currently ongoing, directly harms the mediation efforts of the United States, France, and the EU. This was stated by the special envoy of Armenia, Edmon Marukyan, on his Twitter page.

“It directly damages the ongoing peace negotiations and violates all the commitments that Azerbaijan has undertaken so far. This aggression must be stopped immediately, and the aggressor must be held accountable for the ceasefire violations and all their consequences,” he wrote.

It should be noted that the Azerbaijani armed forces have been intensively shelling the Armenian positions located near the communities of Sotk and Norabak in the Gegharkunik region since September 1 at 07:50.
