VIDEO: 40 Cotton Candies Confiscated, Avinyan Receives Report with a Smile

During a routine procedural meeting at the Yerevan City Hall today, Deputy Mayor Tigran Avinyan was briefed on the progress of efforts to combat illegal outdoor trading. It was reported that 31 boxes of popcorn and 40 cotton candies were confiscated from the Republic Square during evening hours.

Avinyan expressed gratitude for the report while unable to contain his laughter: “Illegal street trading is indeed an issue that must be prevented. Nevertheless, there is still no better way to combat this than through this type of administrative action. As unfortunate as it may be to hear that cotton candy has been confiscated, that’s the only way forward,” Avinyan remarked.
