Turkey Sets Deadline for Sweden's NATO Membership Confirmation
The Turkish parliament could approve Sweden's bid to join NATO by July 21, according to TASS citing CNN Turk.
Following that, the bill will be presented for discussion by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
It was previously reported that the application to join the North Atlantic Alliance would be ratified by the Turkish parliament during the autumn session.
Recall that NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced that President Erdoğan agreed to submit the protocol on Sweden's NATO membership for parliament ratification during a meeting today with Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson.
