Lavrov Has Strong Words on Zelensky's Psychological State

Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin, dubbed the statements made by U.S. President Joe Biden and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky regarding a supposed nuclear threat from Russia as a "frenzy of consciousness."

"It is difficult for me to comment on what the U.S. president has been saying lately. I wouldn’t give much importance to verbal statements that lack basis," the minister said.

He also referred to Zelensky’s comments as a "even more furious flow of consciousness," suggesting that one would need a medical background to analyze their actions. "I do not have a medical education; Ursula von der Leyen has a medical education. I cannot be held responsible for the psychological state of people who prove their imbalance multiple times every day," concluded the Russian Foreign Minister.

Earlier, U.S. President Joe Biden stated that he was considering the real threat of Russia using tactical nuclear weapons. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky mentioned in an interview with the BBC that the world would find a way to "eliminate" Russian leader Vladimir Putin if he does not stop the "nuclear weapon threats." As Russian President Putin emphasized, nuclear weapons are developed to ensure Russia's security in the broadest sense of the word, but there is no need for their use.
