13 Children in Intensive Care in Artsakh
The only road connecting Artsakh to Armenia remains blocked by Azerbaijan, causing planned surgeries in healthcare facilities under the jurisdiction of the Artsakh Ministry of Health to remain suspended.
At the 'Arevik' medical unit, 13 children are currently in the neonatal and intensive care departments. Meanwhile, 13 patients are also in intensive care at the 'Republican Medical Center', six of whom are in extremely serious condition. Efforts are being made by doctors to stabilize the patients' condition.
To date, 13 patients have been transferred from Artsakh to Armenia under the mediation and escort of the International Committee of the Red Cross, including two infants aged 4 and 2 months.
The Artsakh Ministry of Health is taking all possible measures to adequately overcome the situation created by the blockade.
