Daniel Ioannisyan: How has Alan Simonian Become Rich in a Very Strange Way Over the Last 3 Years?
Daniel Ioannisyan, a coordinator at the Alliance Against Corruption and a member of the Public Council, wrote on his Facebook page:
“Sometimes I think, ‘I should step in and write that we won’t escape from the cost of that BMW with 90 million drams, and even more will need to be allocated for armoring,’ and then I consider not adding to this foolish attempt to divert public attention. What is much more significant and intriguing to me is how Alan Simonian has become surprisingly wealthy through real estate transactions over the last three years. I can’t help but recall Nikol Pashinyan’s remarks about Hovik Abrahamyan’s phenomenal abilities in tomato cultivation. Unfortunately, there is no law enforcement body in Armenia (and there won’t be in the foreseeable future) that can investigate the corruption of current high-ranking officials.”
