A Storm in a Teacup: EAEU Representatives Amazed
The newspaper "Iravunk" writes that there was a tense situation on Baghramyan Avenue last night, with police forces occupying the entire street. At Baghramyan 26, members of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council were received, including Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko, Kazakh Prime Minister Askar Mamin, and Kyrgyz Prime Minister Akilbek Japarov. EAEU members are set to participate in the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting in Yerevan on November 18-19.
It is notable that even the foreign protocol of the intergovernmental council was astonished by the existing tension, as there was no apparent reason to disrupt the meeting. The concern stemmed from the fact that due to the tense situation within our borders, there were fears that there would at least be protests on Baghramyan Avenue, which ultimately did not materialize. Even the most anti-Russian group, self-proclaimed "Sasna Tsrer," did not show up with placards.
Foreign ambassadors accredited in Armenia were seen leaving Baghramyan 26, looking puzzled left and right; however, aside from their fellow countrymen, they only noticed police buses.
