Two Individuals Infected with Coronavirus Attended Funeral in Martuni

In the town of Martuni, located in the Gegharkunik province, two cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed among a couple. The head of the Verin Getashen community told NEWS.am in an interview that they attended a funeral ceremony in their village 10 days ago, which has led to several dozen people self-isolating since yesterday.

“About 30-40 participants of the funeral are self-isolating in their homes. Staff from the health clinic are visiting and conducting temperature checks. Currently, no one is showing symptoms,” he noted, adding that the source of the couple's infection was a visitor who had come to their home and was carrying the virus.
