Roads in Armenia Mostly Passable; Lars Open Only for Freight Vehicles
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of March 29 at 15:00, the roads in Armenia are mostly passable.
The roads leading to the Amberd Fortress and Kariat Lake in the Aragatsotn region remain closed for an indefinite period.
There is snow in the cities of Jermuk in Vayots Dzor region and Aparan in Aragatsotn region.
According to information from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs Emergency Management Department and the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations North Ossetia Crisis Management Center, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open only for freight transport after intensive snow clearing efforts.
At the same time, we inform that the decision to prohibit the entry of foreigners into Georgia remains in effect. This ban does not apply to freight transportation.
