LIVE: No Infected Cases Among Armenian Peacekeepers Abroad, Ministry of Defense Reports
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, Shushan Stepanyan, has contacted representatives of humanitarian missions. The live report was broadcast on the spokesperson's Facebook page.
According to the commander of the Armenian Peacekeeping Brigade, Artak Tonoyan, there are no cases of coronavirus infection among the Armed Forces personnel serving abroad participating in missions, nor are there any individuals in contact with them.
He noted that he is in communication with the military units, and there is no suspicion regarding potential infections.
The commander of the unit serving in Afghanistan also reported that to avoid infections, the bases are isolated, and all contact with the civilian population is excluded. He stated that the servicemen have been provided with hygiene tools to prevent infections on an individual level.
