Roads in Armenia: Stepantsminda-Lars Highway Open for Freight Trucks
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of March 22 at 08:17, the roads in the Republic of Armenia are mostly passable. The roads leading to Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake in Aragatsotn Province remain closed for an indefinite time.
In the towns of Goris and Kapan in Syunik Province, fog is observed.
According to information received from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs and the North Ossetian Crisis Management Center of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open for freight transport following intensive snow removal work.
It is also announced that the decision to prohibit the entry of foreigners into Georgia remains in effect. The ban does not apply to cargo transport.
Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
