Polyclinics Not Issuing Hospital Referrals: 'Fact'
The 'Fact' newspaper reports that recently, citizens have approached them expressing dissatisfaction that polyclinics are not issuing hospital referrals, even when indicated. The issue does not concern suspected coronavirus cases but rather routine referrals.
We have received information that the heads of polyclinics have issued internal directives to doctors regarding this matter. To obtain a comment on the issue, we reached out to the press secretary of the Prime Minister of Armenia, Mane Gevorgyan, who is also responsible for communications with the Emergency Operations Center.
In our conversation, she specifically stated, “I exclude the possibility that such a thing could happen, because the operations of polyclinics and hospitals do not start and end with the coronavirus; they continue their normal activities. If our citizens have specific complaints, they can contact the Ministry of Health. At the same time, I want to reiterate that I exclude the possibility that such a thing could have happened,” said Gevorgyan.
