Personal Pages Discovered Aimed at Creating Panic Among the Population: Police

In Armenia, in connection with the state of emergency declared to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, individual accounts have been identified in the Armenian segment of various social media platforms that are spreading disinformation with the aim of creating panic among the population.

Investigations conducted by employees of the High-Tech Crime Investigation Division of the Armenian Police have revealed that the users of these individual pages were not aware of the posts made on their accounts. It has been found that the posts reported were made from IP addresses in the Azerbaijani internet segment.

Reports have been received from citizens regarding the incidents. Preparatory materials are being compiled.
