VIDEO: The Culture of Outdoor Toilets Must Come to an End - Pashinyan
One of Armenia's biggest problems is waste, including rusty toilets and outdoor facilities, as well as the lack of proper restrooms. This opinion was expressed today by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a conference.
He lamented that while gas stations are obliged to have restrooms, some do not, and those that do often fail to meet standards. According to Pashinyan, the situation has reached a point where authorities will need to impose administrative penalties on those lacking high-standard restrooms.
“Strategic thinking is necessary to ensure that rural roads are built in a way that avoids muddy paths,” he explained to conference participants. He asserted that rural homes should include bathrooms, showers, and permanent hot water, stating that “the culture of outdoor toilets must come to an end.”
