Roaming Prices Between Armenia and Artsakh to Decrease by 25-75%
In a recent discussion held at the Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia, an agreement was reached among the Commission, the State Commission for Regulating Public Services and Economic Competition of Artsakh, and mobile operators of Armenia and Artsakh.
Based on this agreement, starting from January 1, 2020, the roaming service rates provided by operators in Artsakh and Armenia will be reduced on a semi-annual basis until January 1, 2021.
As a result, from January 1, 2020, outgoing call rates will decrease by approximately 25%, and during the specified period, this reduction will reach up to 30%. Incoming call rates will decrease by around 40%, and subsequently up to 45%. Data transmission and internet access service rates will reduce by about 50%, and later by up to 65%. Rates for short SMS messages will decrease by approximately 65%, reaching up to 75% thereafter.
