Important Episode Revealed in the Case of Judge Davit Grigoryan's Suspension
Details have emerged to the newspaper "Zhoghovurd" regarding a meeting of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC), during which a decision was made to suspend the powers of judge Davit Grigoryan of the Yerevan General Jurisdiction Court, who was responsible for the release of Armenia's second president, Robert Kocharian.
Specifically, the acting Prosecutor General personally attended the SJC and presented evidence related to the criminal case. According to information received by "Zhoghovurd," one crucial piece of evidence has come to light regarding Davit Grigoryan, which the investigative body, the Special Investigation Service, has discovered.
Reports indicate that there is one issue within the criminal case that has provided a basis for the SJC members to grant the request of law enforcement. This issue concerns the assertion that judge Davit Grigoryan was not present in the court building on a specific day, and therefore, no session took place. However, documents suggest he was in the court building and had conducted a session on that day.
