Political scientist Styopa Safaryan has written on his Facebook page: "As much as I was not excited and supportive of the idea of carpet washing and water throwing from the very first day, I want to understand: did the money allocated for the army go to the carpet-cleaning MP's home? Did the soldier's pranks go to his summer house? Did a mansion rise in the woods of Tsaghkadzor or on the shores of Sevan...? Did he get a share in tenders...? Did he steal water from the state...? Did he hide taxes...? Did the presidential plane fly to Kaluga for a wedding or to Baden-Baden...? For himself, he cleaned the carpet in the corridors and rooms of the parliament and then went home again."
