I Don't Have Such Information: Chairman of the Regulatory Commission Comments on Possible Gas Price Increase
In a conversation with reporters today, Garegin Baghramyan, the Chairman of the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC), commented on the information circulating in the media regarding a potential increase in gas prices for domestic consumers starting January 1. He stated that he has no such information.
"Negotiations are still ongoing, and there are no updates at this time. The discussions are being led by Deputy Prime Minister Meher Gevorgyan. A month ago, a group of specialists from Gazprom came to discuss gas supply schemes and upcoming investment programs until 2030," Baghramyan said.
According to him, currently, Gazprom Armenia is able to offset a $15 increase in gas prices at the border through its internal savings, and the state is not accumulating any debt.
