Protesters Capture Western Part of Abdanan City in Iran
In Iran, protesters have taken control of the western part of the city of Abdanan. This information has been reported by the opposition. They are chanting slogans against the government.
Protesters are also reaching out to Donald Trump for support. Earlier, in early January, the U.S. President declared that the United States is ready to assist the protesters if Iranian security forces 'kill them.'
The protests in Iran have been ongoing for 11 days, triggered by a sharp increase in prices and the devaluation of the national currency. The unrest has spread to dozens of cities. According to human rights defenders, at least 29 people have been killed, including two security personnel.
