Canada to Cancel Tariffs on Certain American Products
Canada will eliminate tariffs on American products included in the USMCA trade agreement. This was announced by Canadian Prime Minister Marc Garneau, as reported by CBC News.
“We will remove all Canadian tariffs on American products covered by the CUSMA agreement. Canada will maintain its tariffs on steel, aluminum, and automobiles, while we are working intensively with the United States to resolve these issues,” stated Prime Minister Garneau, adding that the decision will take effect from September 1.
