Online Tracking of Trolleybus Routes Now Possible
A system for processing data received from GPS devices on public transport has been implemented. Data from around 550 buses is being used to monitor their movement and routes. This was mentioned during a working meeting of the Yerevan city council. It is reported that this will enable monitoring and managing the routes and their intervals. Additionally, there is a video surveillance system available for buses operating without a schedule.
Yerevan's Deputy Mayor Suren Grigoryan also noted that the Yandex application will include not only the fleet of the 'Yerevan Bus' company but also the trolleybuses operated by 'Electrotransport' LLC.
