Flights to Be Operated from Kapan Airport Regardless of Azerbaijani Provocations: Governor of Syunik
Flights will be conducted from Kapan Airport regardless of Azerbaijani provocations. This was stated by the Governor of Syunik, Robert Ghukasyan, during a press conference today, August 29.
“The last two flights have been postponed due to weather conditions. Prior to that, flights were operated regardless of whether they are provoking or not; flights need to be made and will be made. Kapan has an airport, and the airplane is finally operating flights; we need to focus more on this; otherwise, if we hear a shot from afar and we focus on that, the purposes here become unclear. There should be not one, but many small airports in Syunik, as they are also very important infrastructures for us,” said the governor.
Referring to a journalist's comment on whether the operation of Kapan Airport creates an atmosphere of fear in Syunik, the governor responded, “Where have you seen an atmosphere of fear? We create an atmosphere of fear. If people are not afraid, then why are we spreading this topic? Even in Nerkhin Hand, there is no atmosphere of fear. This is a different agenda that has been introduced into our country. They will not be able to create an artificial atmosphere of fear in Syunik because the people of Syunik are not afraid.”
