EU to Impose Sanctions on Iranian Companies for Supplying Drones to Russia
The European Union is set to impose sanctions on four Iranian organizations for allegedly supplying drones to Russia. This was stated in a declaration by the EU Council.
"The list includes four Iranian organizations that manufacture drones and supply them to Russia... as well as several Russian organizations engaged in the development, production, and supply of electronic components for the Russian defense industry," the document states.
Sanctions are also being applied to companies operating in third countries for circumventing the anti-Russian trade restrictions established by European nations. For the same reason, several Russian companies, including IT firms accused by the EU of assisting the Russian defense sector, are also facing sanctions.
