«Who Are You?» Warning Issued to Marukyan for Disrespectful Speaking

The National Assembly continues its regular four-day session. Ahead of the vote on the proposal titled "On Detained and Arrested Persons" presented by "Enlightened Armenia," Suren Grigoryan made a procedural statement.

"I urge my colleagues from 'Enlightened Armenia'," he stated. In response, Edmon Marukyan retorted from his seat, "Who are you?"

The conversation was interrupted by Ararat Mirzoyan, who noted, "Dear people, no matter how tense you are, you should speak respectfully. What does 'who are you' mean? What does that imply?" Silence fell in the chamber. According to the rules of the National Assembly, Edmon Marukyan was given a warning for speaking disrespectfully to his fellow deputies.
