36-Year-Old Man Attacks 82-Year-Old Woman and Attempts Rape in Tavush Region

At around 06:20 AM, the Tavush regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received a call from an 82-year-old resident of the Tavush region, who reported that she had been attacked.

According to the website, the woman informed the police and investigators that around 2:00 AM, an unidentified individual broke the glass of her house's window and entered her home while she was lying in bed. The individual assaulted her, delivering blows to various parts of her body and attempted to have sexual relations with her. However, for reasons beyond her control, he failed to achieve his goal and fled the scene.

It is noted that law enforcement authorities identified him within hours in Ijevan and arrested him on suspicion of attempted rape and causing bodily harm, subsequently transferring him to the Ijevan police department.
