EU Representative: We Are Monitoring the Situation in Russia
The European Union is monitoring the situation in Russia. This was stated to reporters in Brussels by a representative of the European Commission.
"This is a domestic issue for Russia. We are watching the situation," he said, as reported by RIA Novosti.
Earlier, information was circulated on social media claiming to be from Yevgeny Prigozhin, stating that the Russian Ministry of Defense had allegedly carried out missile airstrikes on the rear units of the Wagner Group. The Russian Ministry of Defense declared that this information is false and amounts to an informational provocation.
The Investigative Department of the FSB of Russia has opened a criminal case against Prigozhin under Article 279 of the Russian Criminal Code (on the organization of an armed rebellion).
